Nicole Tricarico

Nicole Tricarico is a Birth Story Listener and Australia’s first Certified Birthing From Within(R) Mentor & Advisor. Over the past three years she has been helping people heal from emotionally difficult birth experiences. With at least a third of women describing birth as traumatic, and two thirds of Midwives experiencing trauma as part of their work, there is a great need for a compassionate, heart centered approach to this prevalent issue. Part of the first Advanced Birth Story Medicine(R) cohort, mentored by Pam England, Creative Director of Birthing From Within and author of Birthing From Within, Labyrinth of Birth and Ancient Map for Modern Birth, Nicole is on a mission to dispel myths about birth trauma, and encourage people who feel let down, upset or disappointed after giving birth to seek support, to process their stories and heal. Her vision for the future is to see a world where every person who has given birth, witnessed or supported a birth, can have their experience heard by a skilled Birth Story Listener. This would change our culture around birth in a profound and powerful way.

A visionary and trail blazer, she has brought many new services to her community. She is also an experienced Childbirth Educator, Doula and Naturopath specialising in Women’s Health, Fertility, Pregnancy and Post Natal Care. She is the owner of Your Birth Support in Shepparton, which is in regional Victoria. She is married and has 3 beautiful and amazing children.
