About Kim Gilson
Kim Gilson was born to teach. Even as a child, she played school in her room, using a chalkboard to instruct dolls and stuffed animals. She held pretend parent-teacher conferences with the “struggling” ones. Over time, her toy students became real ones as she taught band, then math...
…As her career in public education grew, Kim discovered something even more fulfilling—helping adults learn and grow. She found joy in making tough topics easier to understand and in adding laughter to the learning process.
Everything changed in 2014 when her husband, Paul, passed away suddenly due to a blood clot. That heartbreaking loss sent Kim on a personal journey through grief. Eventually, she fought to reclaim joy—not just for herself, but for her two sons as well.
Wanting to share that renewed spark with others, Kim became a certified Zig Ziglar speaker, trainer, and coach. After retiring from education in 2022, she felt called to a new mission: using her voice and teaching experience to uplift hearts, minds, and dreams. Her goal is to help people step into their God-given purpose with confidence and clarity.
Now living in Midlothian, Texas, Kim shares her home with two lovable dogs, Duchess and Cosmo. Her sons, Trent and Cade, are pursuing their own dreams as young adults. Alongside her husband Don, Kim enjoys traveling across Texas, taking courthouse selfies as part of their fun-filled adventures.
She approaches life with passion, humor, and a strong dislike for kale. On Sundays, you’ll find her at Harvest Hill Church, where she is a proud member of the preaching team.
