About Andy Wang

No matter where you went to school or work, chances are you weren’t taught how to invest in your 401(k), save for the future, or plan for retirement.
To make things worse, the financial world is filled with complex products and confusing language that can feel overwhelming...

…My First Jobs Didn’t Teach Me About Money Either

I started my career at Thomson Financial Services as an earnings analyst. Later, I worked the night shift at a semiconductor trading company, making deals with companies in Asia.
The work was exciting, but the 401(k) meetings were not helpful. There were no lessons about managing money or planning for long-term goals.

Joining the Family Business and Learning to Invest

For over 20 years, I’ve worked at Runnymede Capital Management, a company my dad founded. My brother, Chris, later joined us after working at the College Retirement Equities Fund as an analyst and assistant portfolio manager.

Here, I learned the basics that matter:

  • How to invest with confidence
  • The power of compound growth
  • Why asset protection matters for long-term stability
