…Fluent in three languages, Sandro brings a multicultural perspective and a wealth of experience from his background in retail banking and market research. His career took a transformative turn when he joined WESST, a nonprofit Women’s Business Center known for its commitment to underserved communities in New Mexico.

At WESST, Sandro leads the statewide microloan program, providing accessible funding opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs. He also directs the Money Learning Lab, an innovative initiative that blends human-centered design with financial capability training. This program is tailored to meet the unique needs of New Mexico’s diverse and marginalized communities, offering practical tools and education to foster financial independence.

Sandro Tonini’s work is rooted in his deep belief that financial literacy is a pathway to empowerment. Through his leadership and community-focused approach, he continues to bridge economic gaps, uplift local entrepreneurs, and create long-lasting positive change.
