Crystal Hammond founded SophisticatedSpender.com, a personal finance blog in 2011. She is based in Washington, D.C. and has also been a full-time engineer for the U.S. government for the past 11 years. Side hustles are her passion. After being motivated by a blogger conference last year, she partnered with another blogger to create a side hustle income challenge. One short month later, her side hustle turned into a full brick and mortar business called Sip and Sew Old Town. She is also a Zumba and INSANITY instructor.
