Rick Fortier once lived a middle-class corporate life with all the trappings, but now chooses to thrive in a simple nomadic lifestyle. He is a certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner (NLP), SMART Recovery© Facilitator, and is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). His unique self-help novel, ‘The Shift Squad’, is his first venture into guiding others to be self-empowered and taking ownership of their health and well-being. He loves to inspire others through his writing and public speaking. Rick has ‘recovered’ from a number of unhealthy addictive behaviours and now makes his overall health his number one priority. He currently lives between Costa Rica and Vancouver Island with his best friend and wife Susan.
