Alongside my partners, I analyze investment opportunities with a multi-bottom-line approach. While financial performance is crucial, we prioritize businesses that create long-term value for all stakeholders.

EDUCATING THE MARKETPLACE

Many refugee-owned businesses are profit-driven enterprises, not charities. I lead marketing and education efforts to highlight their economic viability, demonstrating why they are prime marketplace opportunities.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING

To deepen my understanding of forced displacement, refugee crises, and economic integration, I pursued a graduate degree at Harvard University. My research explores the employment attributes of resettled refugees, aligning with Amplio Ventures’ mission. I expect to graduate in Spring 2025.

AUTHORSHIP: “THE REFUGEE ADVANTAGE”

My upcoming book, “The Refugee Advantage,” shares success stories of forcibly displaced entrepreneurs, showcasing how resilience, adaptability, and determination fuel business success. This book is scheduled for release in late 2024.

Founded in 1999, MainStreet Technologies (MST) became a leading provider of financial technology solutions, specializing in Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) analytics. Acquired by Accel-KKR and Carlyle in 2018, MST is now part of Abrigo, a rapidly growing fintech company.

I began my career in journalism, contributing to The Valdosta Daily Times, Community Newspapers, Inc. (CNI), and American Lawyer Media. Over the years, I served as Editor, Publisher, and Director of Marketing, building expertise in media, content strategy, and audience engagement.
