Ahsan Irfan-

Ahsan Irfan: I’m an engineer by night and a history podcaster by night. I’m a knowledge freak and am extremely desirous to know anything and everything there is to know. I grew up in a household where books were sacrosanct and books were everywhere. Therefore, books are my natural companion. I am constantly reading. I read philosophy, religion, science and, most of all, history. I decided to convert this passion for reading history into a vehicle for the edutainment of others.

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan, but was brought up in Dubai, UAE. I moved to Canada just before going to college. I graduated as a metallurgical engineer and now work in the natural gas industry in Western Canada. I live in the wonderful city of Calgary with my wife and two kids; a boy (4) and a girl (2).

My podcast will launch in January 2018 and will explore different topics. My first series will be an exploration of the history of Rome’s greatest enemy, the ancient Phoenician city-state of Carthage.
