Pamela Hilliard Owens: After a 35+-year career in education (Pre-K – 14), collaborative sales, and sales management and marketing, Pamela started her first writing and editing business, Writing It Right For You, in July of 2008; expanding to her second, Detroit Ink Publishing, in 2012, and her third, Your Business Your Brand Creatively, in 2014.
Through her three companies, her clients learn that “It Matters How You Say It”! Pamela works with solo professionals, creative freelancers, and small businesses throughout the United States, Canada, the U.K., and twelve other countries on a variety of writing, editing, publishing, and marketing projects.
Pamela provides writing, editing, web design and maintenance, publishing, branding, marketing, business consulting, and social media marketing services for clients, and specializes in working with creative and solo freelancers on branding and marketing their businesses.
Pamela is also a highly sought-after speaker in the areas of motivation and entrepreneurship and is on the board of directors of three different creative and business organizations.

Pamela has Bachelor’s Degrees in Special Education/Education and Sociology and a Master’s Degrees in English/Language Arts, Curriculum Development, and Psychology. She also has a Reading Specialist Certification from the State of Michigan and several business licenses.
Pamela is a native Detroiter and lives in Detroit, Michigan in the historic Boston-Edison neighborhood with her husband Keith Owens and their 5-year-old Shorkie, “Pepper.”
