Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mel Keyes was raised by his mother, Patricia Keyes, and his grandparents, Melford C. and Laura J. Keyes. At seventeen, he joined the United States Air Force, serving for ten years in Texas, where he met his wife, Kendra F. Keyes. They have been married for over 35 years and have three children and seven grandchildren, including identical twin girls...
…For the past 19 years, Mel has served as pastor of The Joshua House of Worship in San Antonio, leading with faith and dedication.

He also served as the publisher for If Carol Can, an inspiring life story of one of his daughters in ministry.
Mel has created conferences, hosted inspirational radio programs, and was featured as a cast member on the personal development reality TV show The Keynote. For the past 12 years, he and Kendra have operated a successful work-from-home travel business, helping others travel affordably, organize international conferences, and generate additional income. Their business also supports ministry efforts, including orphan care initiatives.
