I am Josh Butt. I’m a producer of television, commercials, brand funded video and audio with over 20 years experience.
A few recent jobs that I’ve produced and have been as EP and co-host of “Modern Babies”, a 10-part podcast series with Nova Entertainment and Genea, and a commercial for Shmackos with The Otto Empire and DDB Melbourne.
Prior to starting my role with The Story Lab, I was head of production at Mediacom Beyond Advertising for 3.5 years, leading the production of brand funded TV shows (Air Rescue, Firies, Storm Season), TVCs and commercial films, for brands including: Westpac, Duracell, Gillette, EA, Universal Channel, Foxtel, Transport NSW, NSW & Qld Health, Princess Cruises and more.
I’ve written films/TV, produced TVCs, short films, music videos, radio ads and TV shows.
Some award wins (at MediaCom Beyond Advertising): Festival of Media Asia 2015 &2016, BE Fest Content Marketing Agency of The Year, 2014 One Show Silver Pencil for Air Rescue, 2014 & a 2015 Cristal award, among others; I was also a judge in the 2017 Cast Away Podcast Awards.
I’ve worked at ABC, Fairfax, Triple M, taught 2nd year college Film Producing, performing voiceovers and as a stand up comic.
