…Jeaneen’s journey took a personal turn when her son suffered a traumatic brain injury and stroke at just 13 months old. Now 11, her son is a thriving, verbal, and empathetic young boy. Inspired by his progress, Jeaneen has made it her mission to empower parents, caregivers, and educators to raise confident communicators—starting from birth.
Jeaneen is the author of the groundbreaking book, PLAY DUMB & SABOTAGE: Strategies to Spark Language in Young Children and Special Needs Learners. The book focuses on early language development and offers practical strategies to help children build communication skills—before they need formal therapy.
Through this guide, Jeaneen aims to prevent speech delays by equipping adults with simple, mindful communication techniques. Her approach is rooted in early intervention, responsive interactions, and play-based learning.

By shifting how we interact with children from the earliest stages—through gestures, eye contact, intonation, and vocal play—Jeaneen believes we can lay the foundation for leadership and lifelong communication skills.
Informed by her work in early intervention (ages 0–3) and fueled by her experience as a special needs mom, Jeaneen noticed that many children who were referred for speech therapy were otherwise developing typically.
