My name is Janet Tyler Johnson. I am a Certified Financial Planner® professional, an author, speaker, President of JATAJ Wealth Management and founder of Corporate Hostage, No More!
I am also a recovering “Corporate Hostage”.
In 2005, I left my prestigious corporate job as the head of the financial planning and investment management division of the 12th largest CPA firm in the U.S. to start my own firm.
I was very successful by any measure in corporate America. I had spent 10 years in the CPA world, and prior to that spent 15 years working in other financial services firms. But I’d had it. I was stressed out, burned out, and definitely not living the life I was meant to live.
I am very entrepreneurial at heart so it was well past time for me to get honest with myself and escape the confines of corporate America to start my own business.
By the time I started my firm in 2005 I had 25 years in the financial services industry. I took those decades of learning and wisdom and put them to use building a client-focused, high-service, high-tech financial planning and investment management firm, JATAJ Wealth Management, that I’m proud to say is very successful.
I am also the founder of a complimentary business by the name of Corporate Hostage, No More! where I offer coaching/mentoring services, energy healing sessions (I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysics), and run a membership site. Through this business I host a weekly podcast show, also named Corporate Hostage, No More! which is available on the website and at iTunes and Stitcher Radio.
And, in addition, I am the author of the book, Finding Financial Fulfillment for a Life Filled With Money and Meaning.
Even after over three decades, I am more passionate about my work than I have ever been and have no plans for retirement. I mean, why would I want to stop doing something I enjoy so much that brings so much meaning to my life?
But my work is not all consuming. I do love technology and all of my businesses are virtual but I also enjoy playing with my fur babies, singing and playing the piano, knitting, reading, jewelry making, traveling and dining out.
After 25 years in corporate America, and several years of dreaming about living and working in the Southwest, my husband and I relocated from the Midwest to the beautiful Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) in 2015 and are living the life of our dreams.
Through the blending of all the practical and spiritual tools at my disposal, it would be my honor to help you do the same.
