Harrison Uffindell-

Hi I am Harrison Uffindell. ” I am a motivated self-starter with a background in entrepreneurship, management consulting and law. My passion, is growing and building startups.

While at university I co-founded and grew a online food subscription startup (meatmail.co.nz) into a successful business that employed 10 staff, generated a $1m run rate and successfully exited in late 2014.

After earning degrees in Law, Economics & Finance, I began my career as a Lawyer and worked at one of New Zealand’s “tier 1” corporate law firms, Bell Gully. Needing to get closer to the business world I shifted career and began work in management consulting in Sydney, specialising in strategy and performance improvement.

In 2015 I moved back to the startup world as the first employee on the ground in APAC for Tilt, a VC-backed tech payments startup based in San Francisco. Launching out of Y-Combinator, Tilt raised over $67m in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Sean Parker, Y-Combinator, and others.

My role as Country Manager at Tilt was a blend of both strategy and execution. I was responsible for the day to day execution of market metrics, leading the local growth, product and marketing efforts. I also managed the Australian hiring, resourcing, budget and P&L. In February 2016, I was named in the Forbes Asia “30 Under 30” list (http://onforb.es/1SCzPbq).

Tilt was acquired by Airbnb in March 2017. I am now heading up BizOps for Airbnb across Australia and New Zealand.

In any spare time I have, I love meeting and talking to other startup founders and entrepreneurs (I recently started a podcast to record these conversations). I also assist a number of local startups with any problems their facing (both big and small), with a particular focus on helping them to achieve scalable sustainable growth. “
