…Mr. Fisher serves on the Editorial Board of Agents of America, is a founding faculty member of the Claims College’s School of Professional Lines (sponsored by the Claims & Litigation Management Association), and is Senior Technical Advisor for Professional Liability Insurance, a research manual by the International Risk Management Institute. As a founding member and past President of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), he was honored with the PLUS Founders Award in 2019.

A prolific author and speaker, Mr. Fisher penned the 2024 book Claims Made Insurance – The Policy That Changed the Industry (published by Insurance Journal/Wells Publishing Co.). He has written 80+ industry articles and delivered 150+ presentations on claims management, risk mitigation, and liability insurance.

His career began with 20 years as a Professional Lines Claims Adjuster, specializing in Professional Liability claims, qualitative claim audits, and loss control. Later, he founded ELM Insurance Brokers, where he served as CEO for over two decades. Today, he consults as a Subject Matter Expert for multiple PLUS RPLU courses, advises A.M. Best, and provides expert witness testimony.

Renowned for his insights into the “Gotchya’s that’ll Getchya©” of Executive Liability and Specialty Lines Insurance, Mr. Fisher remains a trusted industry thought leader helping businesses navigate complex liability challenges.
