About Erica D'Arcangelo

Erica D’Arcangelo is a seasoned digital marketing expert, content creator, and now, author of A Story About Pizza—a heartwarming tale inspired by her family's rich Italian heritage and entrepreneurial journey...

…Raised in a traditional Catholic Italian family, Erica discovered her passion for storytelling early on. After earning a degree in Communications with minors in Advertising and Journalism, she launched her career in digital marketing, working with major healthcare corporations before founding her own marketing agency in 2013.

In 2018, Erica returned to her roots, blending business with family when she began supporting her family’s beloved pizzeria. While working alongside her father, she rediscovered the remarkable story of her grandfather, Pietro (Pete)—an Italian immigrant, coal miner, and founder of D’Arc’s Pizza in 1960.

This experience led Erica to write A Story About Pizza, a touching narrative that follows Pietro’s journey from Italy to America, his struggles in the coal mines of Windber, Pennsylvania, and his unwavering dedication to family, love, and his dream—pizza. Each chapter features an authentic family recipe, celebrating Italian culture through both story and flavor.

Erica’s work bridges the worlds of marketing, heritage, and culinary storytelling, offering readers a unique glimpse into Italian-American family life, perseverance, and the power of food to bring people together.
