  • Dawn Butler: The Power of Transition: Embracing Change and Building a Thriving Business /EP 3422

About Dawn Butler

As a seasoned tech professional with over 25 years of experience in software engineering, database administration, project management, operations management, and CyberSecurity, Dawn brings both expertise and empathy to her work. Her true passion, however, lies in supporting underrepresented women in Tech, especially Black women navigating the complexities of their careers and personal lives...

…Dawn is the founder of CDWY (Courageous Daring Wonderful You), where she mentors and coaches Black women Tech professionals, helping them overcome imposter syndrome, burnout, and the emotional weight of racial battle fatigue. She creates spaces where these women can safely lay down their “superwoman capes,” reconnect with their authentic selves, and thrive both personally and professionally.

What makes her uniquely qualified to lead this journey is her ability to blend vulnerability with leadership. Having faced her own challenges, she’s driven by a deep sense of resilience, empathy, and a desire to create lasting impact. Whether it’s through personalized coaching, community building, or helping women reclaim their confidence, Dawn’s desire is they leave feeling valued, excited, and ready to embrace their power.

By weaving strength, care, and purpose into every interaction, she helps Black women Tech professionals move from surviving to thriving, and from self-doubt to self-trust. To transform not just careers but lives.
