  • Curt Stowers is your Financial Advisor for Small Business Owners /Ep2408

Curt Stowers-

Curt Stowers is a lifelong learner with a passion for coaching and helping other people grow.  In 2013 he stepped away from a lucrative management position in “corporate America” and began a new journey focused on finding better balance in his life.  Curt now owns his own business — F5 Financial Planning.  He enjoys reading, exercising, fishing, golf, and spending time with his family.

Curt has lived in over 20 different places during his life — including multiple locations in the midwest, Denver, Dubai, and Brussels.  Currently, he resides with his wife and best friend Sonya in Naperville, Illinois.  Together they have three children. Amanda is a Stanford graduate and works as an engineer for Zoox designing autonomous electric cars; Alexander is a graduation of SIU Carbondale and serves our country as an officer in the United States Marine Corps; and Casey is finishing her undergraduate degree at Purdue with an eye on graduate studies in computational engineering—hopefully on the west coast where the climate is better.

Curt received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He spent 18 years working for a Fortune 50 company holding positions in operations, purchasing, commodity management, and commercial management.  In 2011 he completed the Boston University Financial Planning Program and passed the Certified Financial Planner examination.  Curt has owned a successful Subway franchise since 2005.

Curt has always been fascinated with finances and several years ago began exploring the possibility of offering a financial planning services company that would help families achieve their goals.  In mid-2011, he took steps to turn the dream into reality. F5FP works with families to develop a vision of their future — a vision balancing the “5 F’s” (faith, friends and family, fitness, and finance) that are critical to a families’ well being.
