  • Christiane Constantineau: on Overcoming Illness, Building a Successful Business, and the Importance of Positivity /Ep 4083

About Christiane Constantineau

Christiane Constantineau is a dynamic Canadian C-Level Executive, fractional CFO, and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in global finance, commercial banking, and business strategy. Known for her unshakable integrity, bold leadership, and client-focused approach,

Christiane is also the founder of one of Canada’s fastest-growing cloud consulting firms—serving small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) nationwide.

From Humble Beginnings to Global Impact

Born near Ottawa, Canada, Christiane’s early life was shaped by resilience. Diagnosed with rheumatic fever as a child and warned against motherhood, she defied the odds, giving birth to two sons—Benoît and Mathieu—and pursued a life of purpose through education and entrepreneurship. She worked to fund her own education, eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in administration, two post-graduate diplomas in finance, and an Executive MBA.

International Business Leadership

With a passion for innovation and global collaboration, Christiane’s career includes:

  • Strategic projects in China’s broadcasting sector
  • A pivotal role in South Africa’s business service center framework
  • High-level roles in fund management and commercial banking, with a focus on startup financing
  • Major contracts across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain
  • Leading Turbulence, a company involved in electric transit systems and autonomous vehicle development

She later launched 6DT Consulting, now a top-tier cloud finance and IT advisory firm serving clients across Canada.

Courage in Business & Health

In 2019, Christiane was diagnosed with Stage 3C breast cancer—just months before the pandemic. Despite this life-altering news, she remained committed to her business and doubled its revenue that year. She later penned the inspiring book “Cancer Sucks…: The Journey of an Entrepreneur and Her Fight Against Cancer While Running Her Business” (2023), blending insights on business resilience with the realities of managing a chronic illness.

In 2023, she sold 6DT Consulting to her youngest son but continues to work globally as a CFO-for-hire and finance director, providing strategic support to companies facing complex financial and operational challenges.

Speaking & Thought Leadership

Today, Christiane is a sought-after speaker, business mentor, and workshop facilitator who empowers:

  • Entrepreneurs and small business owners
  • Female leaders in finance and technology
  • Chronic illness survivors navigating career paths
  • Organizations seeking fractional CFO services or turnaround strategies

Her upcoming book, “Balancing Health, Wellness, and Business: Not Easy, but Possible!” (expected March 2025), expands on these themes—offering tactical advice and encouragement to leaders balancing business growth and personal well-being.

Personal Life & Community Engagement

When she’s not advising global clients or writing, Christiane enjoys golf, volunteering, reading, and staying up-to-date with emerging tech trends. She serves on nonprofit boards and remains devoted to her family, including her supportive husband, Martin, and their two sons.
