Alecia Orsini is an award-winning multimedia professional with 18 years of experience in the film industry. Based in New England, she is currently producing several films and working as a freelance audio engineer for The World, public radio's longest-running daily global news program from PRX. As President Emerita of Women in Film and Video of New England, Alecia is a prominent advocate in the region’s film community. She contributed her time to Save MA Film Jobs, supporting the Massachusetts Film Tax Incentives through behind-the-scenes work for the grassroots organization. Alecia uses her platform to amplify underrepresented voices in the film industry, focusing on women of color and LGBTQI+ communities.
In 2012, Alecia was recognized by Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 for her volunteer work and entrepreneurship. In 2019, she was named an Imagineer by Imagine Magazine for her contributions to the film industry.
Beyond her professional life, Alecia is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. She takes pride in her ability to drive a stick shift and is a devoted mother of two rambunctious boys.
