My name is Roddy Maciver and I am the Author of the upcoming Fantasy/Fiction/Biblical novel called Dreamfinder.
It is a story based deeply in a fantasy world created by angels where a middle aged husband and Father is treated for deep rooted issues in his using the medium of dreams.
The dreams, though fantastical deal with real life issues that go deep into the past of the main character. The issues on the surface and immediate to see are anger, self-hatred and isolationism as well as lower than lower self-esteem.
Through the dreams we start find a suicidal teen with a whole world of pain that he has dragged away from adolescent years for 25 years.
My ambition is to show people that good change can happen, that transformation can be experienced and that an encounter with God can set them free even if they tied up in knots as children. I hope to do this with the book and furthermore teach the underlying spiritual truth contained within the story so that anyone, whoever they are can move away from the deadening effects of a brutalised childhood
I also am a Father and husband. I have been married to Sarah for 8 years and we have 3 awesome kids – Isobella, Rebekah and David. We live in Scotland on the little island of Lewis is the Western Isles, 44 miles off the North West Coast of Mainland Scotland.
