About Tameka Mitchell
Tameka Mitchell is a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, children’s author, and proud mother—best known for helping others overcome imposter syndrome. Driven by a love for storytelling and a passion for children’s literacy, Tameka is building a legacy through books that empower young readers to be fearless, confident, and proud of who they are...
…As the founder of Maternity Motivation Publishing, LLC, she creates children’s stories and visual content that reflect her own childhood dreams. Her work is especially dedicated to families of color, featuring vibrant imagery and powerful messages that spark meaningful conversations at home and in the community.
Tameka is also a dedicated wife and mother of two, whose personal journey inspired a deep commitment to maternal mental health—particularly in raising awareness about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). Through her advocacy, Tameka aims to educate, engage, and open dialogue around PMAD, offering support to mothers who may feel alone during the postpartum period.
A powerful mental health advocate and public speaker, Tameka shares her knowledge to raise awareness and destigmatize mental health during the perinatal journey. She works to circulate trusted information from global and national health organizations, helping families identify PMAD symptoms, seek help, and begin the healing process with confidence.
Tameka’s mission is to amplify underrepresented voices, improve access to mental health resources, and break down barriers to care—especially within Black and Brown communities. By leading conversations and using storytelling as a tool for change, she continues to uplift those navigating motherhood and mental health with hope, strength, and purpose.
