Through her books, mentoring programs, podcasts, and events, Sylvia helps young women develop essential business skills while connecting them to a global network of female entrepreneurs. Not only does she encourage independent thinking, but she also teaches the value of community and collaboration.
In her presentations and workshops, Sylvia blends personal stories, practical advice, and skill-building techniques to inspire young women to take charge of their futures. By doing so, she empowers them to turn their ideas into successful businesses.

With over 30 years of experience, Sylvia’s career spans many fields, including:

Throughout her career, Sylvia has always focused on supporting and collaborating with female entrepreneurs. She enjoys bringing people together, whether through fundraisers, fashion shows, celebrations, or large-scale national conferences.
National and Global Impact
While managing Women’s Leadership Exchange national conferences, Sylvia met and worked with hundreds of accomplished women entrepreneurs across the United States. This experience set the stage for her lifelong mission—to uplift and mentor the next generation of women in business.
Later, after relocating from Boston to Southern California, Sylvia launched the Realizing a Vision Conferences. She also partnered with the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center (IEWBC) and the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) to further expand her mentorship programs.
Additionally, from 2016 to 2020, Sylvia remotely mentored Afghan women entrepreneurs, helping them build businesses in challenging environments.
Leadership in Women’s Entrepreneurship Day
Today, Sylvia proudly serves as the Colorado Ambassador for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED). In partnership with CU Denver’s Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship, she organizes the annual WED Colorado Summit. This event celebrates and honors women entrepreneurs across Colorado and highlights their contributions to the business community.
Her impact has not gone unnoticed. In 2019, DataBird Business Journal recognized Sylvia as one of its 250 Inspiring Female Entrepreneurs, honoring her dedication and influence in the world of women’s entrepreneurship.
Educational Background
Sylvia was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and holds:
- A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa
- An Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Promotion from the Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers
She also attended Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business as an MBA candidate, focusing on social entrepreneurship.
