Shauna Marie MacDonald-
Shauna Marie MacDonald inherent need for expression emerged by way of the custom home building company she operated with her husband Ron for 26 years. Designing and decorating homes became her creative outlet while raising three daughters.
After Shauna’s divorce and the children grown, the appearance of new and exciting outlets of expression emerged: Traveling and Writing.
In 2011 Shauna explored Europe for ten months. This pivotal experience opened a new door into creativity by way of the written word. The first of many trips overseas filled with inspiring experiences and people.
A native Canadian, Shauna currently resides in Calgary, Canada near her oldest daughter, grandchildren and a diverse group of friends. Her yearly trips to visit her other children in St. Louise and Barcelona, Spain, enables Shauna to indulge her passion for travel.
Shauna’s writing pursuits evolved naturally by way of sharing her unique take on living in her beloved Italy, walking 800 km along the Camino de Santiago Trial and a weekly post on her passionate belief in the physical and emotional benefits of cultivating gratitude.
After the loss of Ron, her ex-husband from cancer, an unexpected life purpose surfaced. A few days before Ron passed he shared with her a realization; “cancer gave more than it took.” Those profound words became the motivation behind Shaunas first book; Cancer’s Healing Potential. In the midst of writing the book, the stories of the inspiring individuals she interviewed from across the globe, a desire emerged to assist and teach cancer patients how to deal with the fear of living with cancer.
One never knows where life will lead, the trick is being open and believing in infinite possibilities.
