Prema McKeever
Prema McKeever is a somatic therapist, transformational workshop facilitator and educator. She combines more than 20 years of experience in Eastern medicine, meditation, emotional release work, and body-mind therapies. Her work is about guiding you in your journey to wholeness and clarity about who you really are.
By treating thousands of patients as a doctor of Chinese medicine, Prema saw how vital our emotional health is for our physical health. Looking for ways to help herself and her patients release stored trauma in their body she discovered BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release. She was trained by its creator, Giten Tonkov, in Europe and the U.S. and considers it a sacred honor to facilitate and teach this deeply healing system of breathwork. Additionally, she has completed the 3-year Somatic Experiencing trauma resolution training and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute), as well as other somatic trauma release therapies. She currently offer private sessions in Vancouver, BC and via Skype, and facilitates groups worldwide.
Prema’s own personal journey of meditation and self-discovery has taken her from the homes of shamans in the jungles of Peru, to Sufi gatherings in Turkey, to the ashrams of India. She continues to learn new modalities and deepen her own personal healing work as well. In individual sessions and groups, her focus is on releasing the trauma held in our body so we can create a healthier, authentic and more passionate life.
