John C Maakaron is a 38-year-old Psychologist, Podcaster and Social-Media Sports Content Director. He has a strong desire to give back to the community, helps families, couples, children and adults who are dealing with a wide array of mental health difficulties.
John has been in private practice for the last five years working to help residents of Metro-Detroit meet their goals in a supportive, non-judgemental therapeutic environment.
The Detroit Sports Podcast Network was launched in 2013 w/ co-founder Adam Strozynski. John and Adam started their weekly DocNJock podcast in the basement of a suburban home. Through supporter contributions and with the help of several sponsors, John and Adam grew their podcast and their network. Now, daily audio broadcasts are recorded from the DSP Headquarters in Sterling Heights, MI. The network has gained wide spread acclaim locally and nationally due to high quality broadcasts, substantial social-media engagement, local guests, national celebrity guests in the sports and entertainments fields.
