Dr. Constance Van Horne, widely known as Dr. Connie, is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Professor of Management at the Abu Dhabi School of Management since September 2023...
…With an MBA and PhD in Management from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada, Dr. Connie brings over a decade of international experience in management education, strategic communication, and entrepreneurship development.
Since 2009, she has taught management, business communication, and strategic leadership at top institutions including Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and the Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology in China. While at Zayed University, Dr. Connie served as the UAE Country Team Leader for the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Report (2011–2013) and co-authored the first book on Emirati entrepreneurship.
In 2015, she co-developed the Summer@INSEAD mini-MBA program, a prestigious initiative for high-achieving high school students held annually in Paris, France.
From 2018 to 2023, she continued her international impact as a faculty member in China, where she taught management, writing, and communication. Her excellence in education was recognized in 2020 when she received the Teaching Reform Project Award from the Guangdong Provincial Government.
Dr. Connie is a prolific researcher, having published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and conference proceedings in areas such as innovation management, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural collaboration. Her research network spans China, France, Malaysia, the UAE, and Canada, showcasing her global academic reach.
