…Hollywood Career & Acting Highlights
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Charlene launched her career in Hollywood, working across film, theatre, modeling, and dance. She appeared in notable films such as Poetic Justice, So I Married An Axe Murderer, and Sister Act 2.
Charlene is also a gifted poet and spoken word artist. In 2009, she won the Third Annual Seoul Poetry Slam in South Korea. She wrote and starred in her own one-woman theatrical production, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, commissioned by HBO.
Her spoken word and dance performances earned critical acclaim, especially as the opening act for the L.A. revival of Amiri Baraka’s award-winning play, Dutchman, which won five Los Angeles Theatre Awards. Leading publications praised her work:

Charlene has an extensive background in radio hosting, reaching global audiences:
- Beijing, China (2011-2013): Hosted “Media Scan,” a live world news show on award-winning China Drive EZ FM.
- Gwangju, South Korea (2009-2011): Hosted “Hello Korea” on GFN 98.7 FM, spotlighting K-Pop and Korean arts and entertainment.
